Endowment Gifts

The OSS Foundation provides the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy through support of an endowment fund. A gift to an endowment is invested and the return on investment supports OSS Foundation programs and initiatives. The investment of remaining returns allows the fund to continue in perpetuity and ensures its value for future generations.

What Is an Honor Fund?

An honor fund is an endowment fund established with a minimum of $100,000 in gifts or five-year pledges from one to ten individuals. A Grassroots Honor Fund is an endowment fund established with a minimum of $100,000 in gifts or five-year pledges from one to 20 individuals or groups. After the honor fund is established, it may continue to grow with support at any gift level from individuals, groups or organizations.

The name of an honor fund is usually chosen by its founding donors.
